Last updated: 1 July 2025. This policy forms part of the Terms of Use for this website and explains how Limbeck Pty Ltd handles personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Limbeck Pty Ltd (ABN 90 702 553 286), trading as Limbeck (“Limbeck”, “we”, “us” or “our”), is a business consulting and advisory firm based in Perth, Western Australia. We respect the privacy of our clients, prospective clients, suppliers, referral partners and website visitors, and we are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the thirteen Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in that Act.
This policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information, and how you can access and correct the information we hold about you.
2. What personal information we collect
We collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for our business consulting and advisory functions and activities. Depending on the nature of your dealings with us, this may include:
- your name, job title and the name of your business or organisation;
- your email address and other contact details you choose to provide;
- information submitted through our enquiry and quote request forms, including details about your business, its goals and the challenges you wish to address;
- information contained in correspondence, proposals, engagement letters and project materials;
- billing and payment details where we provide services to you;
- records of communications between you and us.
We do not generally collect sensitive information (as defined in the Privacy Act). If sensitive information is ever relevant to an engagement, we will only collect it with your consent or where otherwise permitted by law.
3. How we collect personal information
Where reasonable and practicable, we collect personal information directly from you, for example when you complete a form on this website, send us an email, or engage us to provide consulting or advisory services. We may also collect personal information from third parties, such as your representatives, professional advisers or referral partners, or from publicly available sources, where you would reasonably expect us to do so.
4. Why we collect personal information
We collect, hold and use personal information to:
- provide business consulting and advisory services to our clients;
- respond to enquiries and prepare quotes and proposals;
- manage engagements, including scoping, delivery, invoicing and payment;
- communicate with clients and prospective clients about their matters and our services;
- meet our legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations;
- improve our services and the operation of this website.
We will not use personal information for a purpose other than the primary purpose of collection, or a related secondary purpose you would reasonably expect, unless we have your consent or the use is required or authorised by law.
5. Disclosure of personal information
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We may disclose personal information to:
- professional advisers engaged by us, such as accountants, lawyers and auditors;
- third-party service providers who assist us to operate our business, including providers of cloud hosting, email, document storage, practice management and payment processing services;
- a person acting on your behalf, such as an employee, agent or adviser, where you have authorised them to deal with us;
- government bodies, regulators or law enforcement agencies where disclosure is required or authorised by law.
6. Overseas disclosure
Some of our third-party service providers may store or process personal information outside Australia, including in the United States, Europe or other regions where cloud infrastructure is located. Where personal information is disclosed to an overseas recipient, we take reasonable steps consistent with APP 8 to ensure the recipient handles that information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles, including through contractual arrangements with our providers.
7. Security and retention
We hold personal information in electronic records protected by appropriate technical and organisational safeguards, which may include access controls, passwords, encryption and secure backups. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
We retain personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this policy or as required by law, including record-keeping obligations under the Corporations Act 2001 and Australian taxation legislation. When personal information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to destroy it or ensure it is de-identified.
8. Access and correction
Under APP 12 and APP 13, you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and you may ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, out-of-date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. To make a request, email ceo@limbeck.site. We will respond within a reasonable period and may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before providing access. There is no charge for making a request, although a reasonable charge may apply to cover the cost of providing a copy of the information.
9. Cookies and website analytics
When you visit this website, we or our service providers may use cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use the site and to improve its performance. This information is generally collected in a de-identified or aggregated form and does not identify you personally. You may adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies; however, some features of the website may not function correctly as a result.
10. Direct marketing
We may occasionally send updates about our services to clients and prospective clients who would reasonably expect to receive them. Every marketing communication will include a simple way to opt out, and you may also opt out at any time by emailing ceo@limbeck.site. We do not use or disclose personal information for direct marketing contrary to APP 7.
11. Complaints
If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles or mishandled your personal information, please contact us by email at ceo@limbeck.site with the details of your concern. We will acknowledge your complaint, investigate it and provide a written response within thirty (30) days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) via www.oaic.gov.au.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations. The current version will always be published on this page, and the “last updated” date at the top of the policy will be revised accordingly. Continued use of this website or engagement of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
